The bodice had long tight-fitting sleeves and the train was cut in one with the skirt. Her veil of white tulle was held in place by a wreath of tiny arum lilies with orange-blossom, and she wore a pearl necklace. There were three child attendants - the Hon. Margaret Elphinstone (sister of the bride) and Davina and Fergus Bowes-Lyon There were three child attendants - the Hon. Margaret Elphinstone (sister of the bride) and Davina and Fergus Bowes-Lyon (cousins of the bride) - and eight grown-up bridesmaids - the Hon. The page wore the Royal Stewart tartan kilt, with a white jacket, and the girls were in white organza, with blue sashes, and white wreaths in their hair. The older attendants had dresses of white ripple satin, with wreaths of white gardenias in their hair, and they carried bouquets of mixed white flowers. Viscount Anson was best man, and a guard of honor was formed from the Life Guards. A reception was held at 64, Rutland Gate, and then the bride and bridegroom left to spend the honeymoon motoring in Austria. The bride went away in a dress of blue crêpe under a matching coat of woollen material, with a blue straw hat.
