HARRIS, Thomas Smerdon |
Born: 1823, Totnes
Baptised: 1 May 1823, Totnes parish church, Devon 1
Died: Mar 1895, Totnes, Devon 2
Census: 1841, Fore St, Totnes, Devon 3
Census: 1851, Fore Street, Totnes, Devon 4
Occupation: Painter & Gilder, from 1861 to 1895, Totnes, Devon
Census: 1861, Totnes, Devon 5
Census: 1881, 51 Fore St, Totnes, Devon 6
Census: 1891, 51 Fore Street, Totnes, Devonshire 7
Married: Sep 1856, Totnes, Devon, Mary Elizabeth Roberts 8
Father: Richard Harris
Mother: Mary Smerdon
Notes:
When Thomas’s mother Mary died in 1856, he proved her will in Exeter and was the only beneficiary under her will as well. 18/8/11 I may have made an error as Jan Wood says there were at least 4 children. Although it is possible there have been another child or two conceived/born in this gap, but there is no evidence in Totnes baptism or burial registers of any other children
