Great Sky
You need to be able to select the sky area to create this effect. There
are a number of ways of doing that, which I assume you will find out from the
web!
| Select the sky!
- I've used a Yellow colour in Quick Mask mode to show you what I selected
with the Magic Wand with a Tolerance of 30 and then adding to the
selection to get the clouds. You can then Feather the edge if
necessary.
Sometimes it is quite hard to select only the sky and you may well have
to use other techniques.

 |
create a new adjustment Layer:
Layer>New Fill Layer>Solid Color...
and set the colour as Gray with a blending mode of Color Burn.
When you press okay, then select a light-ish grey from the Color Picker
dialog. |
 |
You can then either select another fill colour,
by
double-clicking on the left thumbnail in the Color Fill 1
layer
and instantly see the change.
You could also change the Opacity of the layer to lower the effect.

I wrote this in early 2007 - I now know better - so I would not
recommend using the idea unless the selection is easy and my Sky actions have
failed. |
